Our soundtrack 2
We plan to feature this song in our thriller as part of an investigation scene in which our protagonist "Dahlia" enters derelict building as he looking for any leads on the murder case he is currently investigating.we hear this song playing in the background of the scene, however through editing we may edit the sound to make it sound like a piece of music playing diagetically, i.e our protagonist can hear this song in the background .
From doing research into the song I have found that the song's Creative Commons license is under public domian according to this website http://archive.org/details/MahlerPianoQuartetInAMinor. Meaning the song free to use for the public therefore I can use it in my thriller without any complications. In addition I Have chosen this song because of its use in the thriller film shutter island. In said film it creates a sombre and slow mood to the scene, I feel since we are developing a film noir thriller, adopting this slow pace with a sad environment would further strenghten our film noir semiology.
